Course overview

Personal trainers and fitness instructors use physical activity routines to help clients reach their health and fitness goals.

Entry requirements: Students must be able to participate in physical activity and therefore need to have a high level of fitness. You should also hold a Level 2 English qualification.

  • Personal training

  • Coursework
  • Multiple choice exam
  • Portfolio assessment
  • Practical assessments

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for those who want to pursue a career in personal training. You’ll develop skills enabling you to prescribe, plan and deliver safe and effective exercise programmes. The course requires 9 hours of learning each week.
