Course overview

This part-time course runs in the daytime for 12 weeks with various start dates throughout the year. You'll study:

  • Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise
  • Health, Safety and Welfare in a Fitness Environment
  • Principles of Exercise, Fitness and Health
  • Know How to Support Clients who Take Part in Exercise and Physical Activity
  • Planning and Instructing Gym Based Exercise

Who is this course for?

A highly recognised qualification in the fitness industry, this course is perfect for you if you want to become an Exercise to Music Instructor. You will gain the practical skills and confidence you need to plan and teach group exercise classes. You will learn how to add choreography to your routines allowing you to develop health and fitness through exercise.

What other experience will I gain?

We offer expert tutors and fantastic facilities in which to learn such as our sports hall, fitness suite (open to the public) and use of Queen's Park Sports Centre.

Where will this lead?

There are a wide range of course progression topics to study and other classes to instruct on such as Zumba, Body Pump, Salsa etc. If you're already a personal trainer this course will bolster the variety of your work, add another revenue stream and will help you to meet more potential clients.
