This course is validated by University of Derby.

This degree will allow you to study across both areas of psychology and health care. You will learn about dementia care, rehabilitation of offenders, managing addictive behaviour and eating disorders. You’ll look at psychological approaches and theory, then apply to real life scenarios. You'll study the following key units:

  • Introduction to psychology
  • Health psychology
  • Mental health
  • Applied research methods in psychology
  • Counselling

Entry requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject
  • GCSE English and maths at grade C or above (or Level2 equivalent)
  • Mature students with relevant experience will also be considered

  • Research projects
  • Case studies
  • Written assignments
  • Presentations

Who is this course for?

This is a full-time course studied over two years. You will be required to attend college lectures and seminars for 11 hours per week. You will also need to dedicate some time to self-study and research.
