Course overview

You will learn how to:

  • Develop productive working relationships with colleagues
  • Maintain the health, hygiene, safety and security of the working environment
  • Prepare meats for complex dishes
  • Cook and finish complex meat dishes
  • Prepare and cook fresh pasta dishes

If you would like to take your cookery skills to a more advanced level and progress your career in the industry this is the course for you.

Entry qualifications

You'll need to hold a Level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery or BTEC L 2 Diploma in Hospitality or have experience of working in the industry to Chef de Partie Level.

What other experience will I gain?

The College has a fully functional restaurant and bistro that are open to the public giving you valuable experience. You'll also have the opportunity to work with large companies, for example, Manchester City Football Club within their Private Corporate Hospitality Boxes and possible overseas work placements through international links with partner colleges. You'll also have the opportunity to take part in a residential visit abroad such as Spain/France/on a cruise.
