Course overview

This award gives you an understanding of the application of the IET Wiring Regulations Seventeenth Edition. It provides individuals working in the electro technical sector to develop and/or enhance knowledge on the Requirements for Electrical Installations. The qualification covers the full content of BS 7671: IET Wiring Regulations Seventeenth Edition incorporating amendment three (2015). The Regulations apply to the design, erection and verification of electrical installations, and also additions and alterations to existing installations. This qualification has been developed in close consultation with colleges, training associations and industry to ensure that the qualification meets the needs of the building services engineering sectors. The award is made up of a single Knowledge Unit that gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of identified topics and subject areas via an on-screen exam.
