Who is this course for?
If you want to start a career as a Carpenter or Joiner then this is a great course to get a solid understanding of the skills and knowledge to be successful in the industry. You'll study on a practical and theoretical basis to get a grip on the techical aspects and you'll also improve your Maths, English and ICT through Functional Skills sessions.
As a minimum you will need GCSEs at grades E/2 or F/2 or an Entry Level qualification in Carpentry and Joinery.
What other experience will I gain?
In addition to your studies you'll enter the Construction Skills Certification Scheme which is an industry standard form of proving your level of skill and training in the industry.
Where will this lead?
You can progress on to a Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery. You can also seek employment and, if successful, progress on to an Apprenticeship.What are my career options?
