Course Overview

The Level 3 Extended Diploma in TV, Film & Visual Effects is a two year course, (the Extended Diploma is equivalent to 3 A Levels), and however, at the end of year one, if you decide media is not for you, you will have the opportunity to leave with a level three diploma qualification. This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary within the sector to progress to degree level study or employment in the media sector. This course is for students who have an interest in the media industry, especially film and television, and wish to explore, develop and test their creativity. This course is stimulating and demanding and you will acquire practical skills and theoretical knowledge that underpins the practice of media. The focus of this course is media production within the film and TV sectors and therefore you will learn to film both on location and in the studios we have here at Chesterfield College. Take a look at the video below from former media student, Jordan Lee as he describes how the course at Chesterfield College helped him to become a successful film maker.
