Course Overview

Life Skills: This programme develops the skills needed to live independently and access the community.

Course Content

Students will work towards individualised targets to support their personal and social development. These will be embedded across the programme so that students work towards unit criteria in a way that is most relevent to the personal skills that they need to improve.

The units within the qualification are focused around:

  • Preparing for work
  • Producing and displaying arts and crafts products
  • Emotional wellbeing and healthy living
  • Literacy and mathematics

Our students will achieve this by engaging in a range of different activities and will have the option to particiapte in various enrichment activities such as arts and craft, cooking, gardening and recycling. Students in this programme may also engage in college based work experience opportunities.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements on foundation learning courses.

Entry 3 Certificate in Life and Living Skills. Students who need additional learning at Entry 2 may continue onto the Entry 2 Diploma.
