Course Overview

Developing Self: This programme develops the skills needed to interact and communicate with others and the environment.

Course Content

Students will work towards individualised targets to support their personal and social development. These will be embedded across the programme so that students work towards unit criteria in a way that is most relevent to the personal skills that they need to improve.

The units within the qualification are focused around:

  • Asking questions, making requests and general daily interactions
  • Developing ones self
  • Emotional wellbeing and healthy living
  • Literacy and mathematics

Our students will achieve this by engaging in a range of different activities and will have the option to participate in various enrichment activities such as arts and craft, cooking and gardening and recycling.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements on foundation learning courses.

Progression

You can progress onto the Entry 2 Certificate in Life and Living Skills. Students who need additional learning at Entry 1 may continue onto the Entry 1 Diploma.
