Course OverviewMental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. In the same way as learning physical first aid, MHFA teaches people how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill health and feel confident to guide someone to appropriate support.
Learning takes place across two sessions through a mix of group activities, presentations and discussions.
The course is for anyone over the age of 16.
There is no formal assessment during this course.
We have a range of other short courses that compliment this course in addition to full time Health and Social Care courses that you could progress on to.
