Course Overview

This course is suitable for those who have completed a Level 2 qualification in Hospitality Services and those who have worked in the hospitality industry for some time. The course will provide learners with the opportunity to demonstrate the skills and knowledge needed for a career in management within the hospitality industry.

Course Content

During the course you will studying the following core units:

  • Lead a team to improve customer service
  • Develop productive working relationships with colleagues
  • Provide leadership for your team
  • Contribute to the control of resources
  • Maintain the health, hygiene, safety and security of the working enviornment

You will also study a number of optional units which include:

  • Supervise reception services
  • Provide learning opportunities for colleagues
  • Contribute to the development of a wine list
  • Contribute to promoting hospitality services and products

Entry Requirements

You will need to have successfully completed a Level 2 qualification in Professional Cookery or Hospitality Services or have relevant work experience in the industry.

Progression

Upon successful completion of this course you can choose to progress on to the Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Professional Cookery or enter employment within the hospitality industry in a number of roles including:

  • Bar person/manager
  • Catering/restaurant manager
  • Hotel manager
  • Kitchen supervisor/manager
