Course Overview

This course is designed to build on your prior experience and, in short, comprises of three stages: an exploratory stage, pathway stage and confirmation studies stage. The exploratory stage provides you with the opportunity to explore a number of art based disciplines and experiences such as fine art, fashion and textiles, illustration, print-making, photography, film studies, ceramics and graphic design. During the pathway stage you will focus on a specialist area. This is your chance to build on your skills and understanding and develop advanced skills. You will build up a portfolio of work in preparation for interviews for university level education and employment. The confirmation studies stage helps you to become increasingly independent as you prepare for the an externally assessed final major project and an exhibition of your work.
