Level 2 GCSE Psychology (part-time, day or evening) – October 2022

This course introduces you to the fundamentals of psychology, developing critical analysis, independent thinking, and research skills.
This is an intensive one-year programme that will help you work towards achieving a grade A–C/9-4.
Assessment will inlcude two written papers (1hr 45mins each). Paper 1: Cognition & Behaviour. Paper 2: Social Context & Behaviour.Attendance is one morning/afternoon (3hrs) per week (day TBC). It is expected that students will dedicate a minimum of 3 additional hours outside of class time to their studies.Part-time evening options are also available.
Cognition & Behaviour: Memory, perception, development, research methods.
Social Context & Behaviour: Social influence; language, thought and communication; brain and neuropsychology; psychological problems.
This course is aimed at anyone who has a keen interest in the subject of psychology and may wish to progress onto a psychology-based Level 3 course or simply to add to their suite of GCSE qualifications.

If achieved in combination with other GCSE programmes, this course could help you gain entry to a Level 3 programme, e.g. the Level 3 Access to HE (Humanities; Health; Nursing & Midwifery; Policing; Education pathways), or Level 3 Health & Social Care, Level 3 Sport Science, or A Level Psychology.
