Technology is ever advancing. Consider the evolution of mobile phones in the last ten years. As technology advances the role of electrical/electronic Engineers becomes all the more important. They are at the forefront of developing new technologies in different industries such as robotics, transportation, construction and healthcare. There will always be a need for Engineers.
This PEO course could be your starting point for a career in this exciting industry. It is also a part of the apprenticeship framework, so any time spent on it will not be a waste if at any time you do find an apprenticeship.
Safety boots will be provided as will any other tools etc. that are required for the course. You are expected to equip yourselves with the stationary required ie paper, pen, calculator, folder etc..
You will be learning about the building blocks that go in to all the technology that you have come to take for granted, in your everyday lives. Topics will range from the basic electronic components, programming microchips to the installation of the wiring of to make lights and sockets work.
5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (or a technical equivalent qualification). GCSEs to include sciences, maths, English and technical subjects. All applicants will have to go through an interview process.

This course can lead on to the level 3 course in Engineering part time or full time. Or count towards any apprenticeship. Or even a junior position in a technical environment.
