Course Overview

This course is an ideal starting point for those who want to work in food and hospitality. You will learn the basic skills and knowledge required to work in hospitality environments, preparing you for higher level study and skills development. The college has its own restaurant, Taste, where you will have the opportunity to put your skills into practice, along with other eateries including The Lilypad Cafe.

Course Content

Modules include: Maintain a Safe, Hygienic and Secure Working Environment, Work Effectively as Part of a Hospitality Team, Maintain Food Safety when Storing, Preparing and Cooking Food, Prepare and Cook Vegetables, Prepare Hot and Cold Sandwiches

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at grade G/1 or above
