Art, design and fashion
Art and Design at Chesterfield College offers an extensive mix of traditional and cutting edge creative disciplines, giving you the opportunity to try your hand at a range of techniques. By creating a comprehensive portfolio of work you’ll leave us with a wide range of skills, making you highly attractive to employers in the creative sector.
As one of our students you’ll have access to outstanding resources and facilities such as a ceramics studio and a silversmithing workshop, as well as great teaching support to maximise your potential. You can develop and hone specialist skills in fashion, textiles, fine art, life drawing, illustration and applied arts.
At Chesterfield College we benefit from great relationships with universities and art colleges, giving students access to exclusive lectures and workshops. You’ll also have the opportunity to put on your own exhibitions as part of our end of year Arts Festival and fashion show, so you can really show off your talent.
The range of courses we offer have been carefully chosen to ensure that when you leave us, you’re ready for work, an apprenticeship or further study at university level. We ask employers to tell us what they look for in new employees and then make sure that our students develop the key skills and knowledge that puts them ahead of the competition. We also ensure that you have the option to follow a career pathway specific to particular job roles. Where you start, which route you take and how far you go, will depend on you and what you want to be in the future.
