As the largest provider in Derbyshire for Apprenticeship provision, we are rapidly establishing Learning Unlimited as the training provider with a growing portfolio of frameworks, our free recruitment service and business focused approach. We are also building a national reputation for high quality training services in the logistics sector with the recent opening of our specialist Logistics Training Centre at Junction 29A.
Other exciting recent developments to our services include our state of the art conferencing facilities at Waterloo Court with a suite of rooms to cater for groups of 20 to 100 people and our comprehensive services to support unemployed people back into sustainable work. Originally completing an NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy at the College, Carly then moved on to Level 3 via a modern apprenticeship at the Head to Toe salon in Grassmoor. After completing her studies, Carly has gained a huge amount of industry experience, owning and indeed managing three Beauty Therapy salons. She currently owns and runs the highly rated ‘Therapy Lounge’ based in Hasland, Chesterfield and strongly believes that Apprenticeships are the best possible way into the industry. Carly explains, “I really enjoyed my time studying on an Apprenticeship and encourage anyone looking to get into Beauty Therapy to do the same. I am keen to give those coming through the College the same chances I had and as such have had numerous learners on work placement. In fact, currently I have a fantastic apprentice in my salon, Chloe, who has proved to be a real asset.
As well as gaining fantastic experience during my Apprenticeship the College’s salon is open to the public and provided me with a good working knowledge of a variety of treatments and skills such as working on reception booking clients in.”
