Students from Chesterfield College joined youngsters from local schools including Tupton Hall, Dronfield Henry Fanshawe and Brookfield Community School to exhibit their entrepreneurial skills at a student trade fair in Chesterfield’s market square.
The event was part of the learner’s business studies with the Young Enterprise Programme charity. Each group of school/college students created their own company to manufacture and market products which then went on sale to the town centre’s general public.

There were two representative student companies from Chesterfield College, ‘Cestrefelde’, selling customisable t-shirts and ‘The Edge’, selling hooded sweatshirts.

Next up for the two student companies is a trip to Paris to sell their wares on a European market at the end of March as part of a cross-border enterprise project called Comenius.

The enterprise project asks students from Chesterfield College and each of its partner colleges in France, Germany and Holland to develop and launch their own businesses, culminating in the trip to Paris.
