Chesterfield College students helped to raise over £600 for Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance Service following on from the road traffic collision event in early October.
The event showed students at Chesterfield College what dangers are posed by speeding and not wearing seatbelts. Through live re-enactments, students witnessed the actual consequences of dangerous driving, promoting a safe driving message.
In total, on the day of the event, Chesterfield College public services students helped to raise £605.10 with collection buckets in Chesterfield town centre. The money has now been presented by the students to Catherine Foster, the fundraising manager for Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance Service.
