Chesterfield College hosts Chinese delegates

Chesterfield College has played host to delegates from Chesterfield’s twin town of Yangquan, China, demonstrating its impressive Quadrant Restaurant facilities.

As guests of the Mayor and Mayoress of Chesterfield and Chesterfield Borough Council, the Chinese visitors travelled in style on a vintage Chesterfield Corporation bus en route to the highly regarded Quadrant. As the restaurant is ran by the students the visit was a stern test of their abilities but one which they passed with flying colours.

Huw Bowen, Chief Executive, Chesterfield Borough Council, commented, “The food and service was of a really high standard, all credit has to go to the students for a brilliant job. Our guests felt really welcome and definitely enjoyed their meals. Overall it’s a very professional outfit and I’m sure the students we met will go on to have lucrative careers in the catering and hospitality industry.”
