Chesterfield College placed third in East Midlands

21st January 2010

Chesterfield College has achieved an impressive third place in the latest results tables for General Further Education Colleges in the East Midlands. The achievement also represents a year-on-year improvement stretching back to 2006.
The results, published by the Department for Children, Schools and Families, are compiled from the College’s large number of A/AS levels, BTEC National and all Vocational Level 3 students. Third place is a real achievement for the College, up against 20 other institutions in the region.

Judith McArthur, Principal at Chesterfield College, explains, “Not only do we have a large number of students but we have improved our Level 3 score year on year since 2006, a real indicator of our continued success. I would like to thank all of the staff and of course the students, who have worked so hard to achieve this result and I’m sure we can keep on improving in the future."
