The Mayor and Mayoress of Chesterfield have taken time out of their busy schedules to take a grand tour of the Chesterfield College Infirmary Road Campus.
After meeting with Principal, Judith McArthur, the Mayor and Mayoress were guided around various areas of the College, taking in what the students are up to and what the College has to offer them. Following an introduction to Independent Living Kitchen students, the tour then took in the Learner Services on offer at the College such as financial support and student counselling.
The Mayor and Mayoress proceeded to visit some of the College’s directorates, including the Health and Beauty department. Students demonstrated some of the non-surgical facelift procedures they were carrying out on clients. Following this, the tour took in various exhibits and displays from the Art and Design directorate, including textile art, ceramics and sculptures produced by the students.
After a delicious lunch at the College’s Quadrant Restaurant, which is run by Catering and Hospitality students, the Mayor and Mayoress finished their tour with a visit to the College’s highly-regarded Fashion directorate.
