At the car wash...
Date: 5th December 2008

Learners on the City and Guilds Essential Skills course are once again washing cars every Friday in the student car park, to raise money for the charity. Each year, students have organised a car wash as part of their Enterprise Project, and this year’s event is bigger and better than ever!

Students (clockwise from top left): Chris Ashmore, Claire Askam, Jason Gibson, Connor Cartledge, Simon Bradfield, Melissa Roberts

Students are offering a professional and courteous service including a mini-valet and thorough exterior wash for just £3.

Tutor Rob Haywood said,
“The most important part of this exercise is that learners gain practical skills which will help to open doors to the world of work.”

Head of Learning for Social and Personal Care, Steve Kelly added,
“The learners are doing a fantastic job, and working really hard in all weathers to make a success of this project.”

Car washing will take place every Friday until next Summer. If you would like to book a car wash email or call Rob Haywood on ext 1650.
