Seventeen-year-old Ashley is studying on the OCR Level 3 course under the College’s Football Development Programme, which aims to develop education and improve prospects for aspiring footballers by combining high quality training with professional coaching through Chesterfield Football Club.
Ashley has already played in a few friendly matches with Sheffield Hallam, and when the season kicks off the team will be playing one match per month.
Ashley said, I really enjoy playing football, so when I saw the advert for the Hallam trials, I decided to go for it. It’s a really good squad and I look forward to playing with them.
