College Resource Centres Our Resource Centres provide a modern, light and airy environment in which to study and conduct research, offering a broad range of books, journals and pamphlets. The Centres also offer quiet study and group study areas. Resource Centres are located at Clowne Campus, Tapton House and Infirmary Road Campus. Computing Facilities - IT Learning Centres The College’s computing facilities are excellent with industry standard software and IT support which is regularly upgraded. The College currently has a Windows XP network supporting a wide range of professional packages.
All students have free access to the internet and email facilities, and the College’s Virtual Learning Environment enables students to access course materials and information on-line, day or night. The Learning Centres also offer a comprehensive collection of videos and CD Roms. Tutors will provide guidance and signpost students to the most appropriate on-line jounals. Visits to partner University Libraries are arranged.
Students on courses validated by other educational institutions such as Leeds Metropolitan University, Sheffield Hallam University and The University of Derby also have the opportunity to make use of their library learning centres if required. Students also have access to a range of on-line journals to support their programme of study.
