Fees and Costs
Fee GuidanceFull Level 2 courses
If you are 19 years or over and wish to study for a first full Level 2 qualification* you will not have to pay for your tuition fees.
Full Level 3 courses
If you are aged 19 to 25 and you enrol on your first full Level 3 qualification^ you will not have to pay for your tuition fees. If you are aged 25+ and do not have a full Level 2 or 3 qualification and enrol on a course which would lead to a full Level 3 qualification^ you will not have to pay for your tuition fees.
*Please check at enrolment to see if your chosen course qualifies. We will need to ask you about your qualifications held to date. We may also be able to help you with your exam fees too - check with our Learner Services office.
You will be entitled to 100% tuition fee and exam fee
remission if you are on a further education course and you
are receiving one of the following benefits:
• Job Seeker’s Allowance (UB40 card is not acceptable)
• An income-based state benefit for example, Income Support
• Employment & Support Allowance (income related)
• Pension Guarantee Credit*
• Housing or Council Tax Benefit
• Working Tax Credit*
• An unwaged dependent** of anyone in receipt of these
benefits
* All the pages of your award letter (TC602) must be shown
so that your right to fee remission can be assessed - it is
not automatic. You will need to produce current (that is not
more than 3 months old) evidence of your entitlement to
receive the benefit.
** Family members remain eligible for fee remission if the
family is in receipt of Jobseeker’s Allowance (income-based)
and are not eligible if a member of the family is only in
receipt of contributions based JSA.
